First Person Footage Of This Lunatic Going Down The World's Most Difficult Mountain Biking Course Is B-A-N-A-N-A-S

UTAH – Red Bull Rampage 2017 will go down in the history books as one of the heaviest freeride mountain bike contests ever. Kurt Sorge became the first three-time Rampage winner with Cam Zink taking bronze and freeride’s next generation shredder, 20-year-old Ethan Nell, scoring third place.

Straight out of the Playstation 4. Of course these guys are one the most accomplished mountain bikers of all-time. You kind of have to be to complete this course going the speed of Batshit and not die. Still, there were multiple parts where we very easily could’ve seen first person death via GoPro. One spaz of the fingers and it’s smell ya later off a cliff like Wile. E Coyote on a bike. All the credit in the world to anyone who will risk their life like that for a YouTube video and Red Bull sponsorship pennies.

Good for Kurt Sorge dominating at the literal edge of life, but the second and third place finishers didn’t look so shabby, either. And by that I mean they survived. Which is a win in itself.

PS – The POV version at the top reminds me of the dude who does similar (staged) videos but on ski’s. Every time I try and hit the slopes I’m too worried about Pizza’ing down the Bunny Hill so I don’t pop an ACL. This guy is french frying at Ludicrous Speed while doing 360’s in the air over running helicopters like he’s freaking 007. Touche.
